Kevin Harvick is one of seventeen drivers who has won a race in each of the National Series (Craftsman Truck, Busch and Cup). Kevin Harvick 2006 Busch Series Championship run saw him fall just one race short of tying Sam Ard's record for the most wins in a season (10, set in 1983) and was so dominating that he clinched the title after the October 13th race, the earliest in a season that a championship has been won. Kevin Harvick earned 23 top-5 finishes and 31 top-10 finishes in 35 races.
Though he intends to race in the Nextel Cup Series for years to come, Kevin Harvick decided to add the role of team owner to his resume. With his wife, DeLana, Harvick created Kevin Harvick Incorporated in 2001 and fielded a ride in the Truck Series as both owner and driver that same year. Posting impressive numbers that year and even better numbers in 2002 and 2003, Kevin Harvick attracted a full time sponsor in 2004 for the team's first full season of competition. Kevin Harvick company expanded to a full-time Busch Series team and a full-time Truck Series team in 2005, with each team claiming wins and multiple top-five and top-10 finishes.
